The loss of a child is said to be the most unnatural and hardest losses of all. It brings many complications and has many impacts on you, your life, and your family.

In grief, we have many choices. We can choose to ignore and pretend the loss is not there, but sorrow will fester. It is hard to find the right people to share our grief with because most do not comprehend and understand it. That is why this group is valuable and so needed!

Our loss brings many questions, and with them, our goal should be to pursue truth. Ultimately God’s word brings absolute truth, healing, and comfort. This helps us to drop negative reoccurring thoughts/feelings and focus on the Wonderful Counselor who brings healing.

We are bringing together a community of parents in Santa Fe, NM who have lost a child who know the journey. Living this “new unwanted normal” with God and His grace makes all the difference in the world. He brings positive experiences back into our lives.

Our goal is to organize a series of meetings, two or three times a year. We will schedule meetings when there is enough interest. The meetings will be weekly for eight weeks. If you are interested, please use our simple SIGN-UP form to express interest. Use our EVENTS and FACEBOOK page to keep abreast of future developments. We will be giving custom made MEMORIAL CANDLES (in your child’s name) to those who attend.

Below are articles about grief and the loss of a child. We pray God will speak to, comfort, and heal your hearts through them. God heals through relationships; especially through Him & His word and through others who follow Him.

BROKEN WORDS

Over the years my wife and I have been told many platitudes or well meaning comments that weren’t helpful. In fact they were the opposite; they were very hurtful. Here are some of the comments we heard that were hard to hear: “She’s in a better place”“God needed another angel”“God must have took her early …
